the central remedial clinic, waterford regional hospital, ireland

A specialist assessment and treatment centre for children which includes accommodation for Physiotherapy, Consulting, Gait Laboratory, Seating and Mobility Workshop. A low energy design has been achieved through air tightness, insulation, heat recovery ventilation and intelligent low energy lighting and energy monitoring.

The Bishops Palace Georgian Museum, Waterford, Ireland

This project involved the conservation, restoration & refurbishment of this 17th Century landmark historical building which is a National Protected Structure for use as a museum, visitor centre and café. A high grade security system has been installed and LED lighting was used to illuminate exhibits.

New Emergency Unit, Delivery Suite & Neo Natal Unit.
Waterford Regional Hospital, Ireland

The new departments consisted of an extension to the existing building over three floors. The design includes all requirements to HTM and good practice standards. This project required the upgrade of the existing infrastructure including Generators, Dual Power Supplys, IP CCTV, BMS over IP and one and a half floors of additional plant to service the new critical care floors.

Al Reem Island Abu, Dhabi

Pearse Douglas & Ted Carroll acted as lead Mechanical, Electrical and Vertical transport design consultants on this project. The project comprised of 5 towers ranging in height from 24 to 50 storeys. The scheme comprised of 1,475 residential units with a total floor area of 2.6 million square feet.

Rehabilitation Unit, Enniscorthy, Ireland

This facility provides supervised living accommodation for 12 clients with a variety of support rooms that provide therapeutic and social activities which encourage independent living. A low energy design has been achieved through air tightness, heat recovery ventilation, solar panels, a wood pellet boiler installation & rain water harvesting.

Mallin Library & Exhibition Space, Wexford, Ireland

Wexford library is a 4 story new build over basement with a glass façade on a confined site. The building has a sustainable design approach. This includes fenestration, brise soliel, exposed concrete slab with slab heating and cooling served by an air to water pump. There is a fully automated natural ventilation system using a central atrium with roof level opening vents. All lighting is LED/TS and is centrally controlled via absence detection & daylight sensor through a KNX lighting control and maintenance system.

Dunnes Stores, Thurles, Ireland

The development consisted of a 2700sqm extension and the refurbishment of the existing retail premises. These works were completed while maintaining trading within the existing store.
