Douglas Carroll provided a full Mechanical and Electrical Design service for the recently completed new renal dialysis unit on the grounds of Tallaght University Hospital. The 2,700m2 Unit built over two floors has 28 Haemodialysis Treatment Bays & six single haemodialysis rooms.

The new unit comprised a double storey extension over the live Emergency & Paediatric department / ED plant room, flanked by the main hospital street, Pharmacy, Mortuary building and main operating theatres, all of which required to be tied into during the construction process. The building envelope achieved a BER rating A.
